All American Red Cross disaster assistance is free, made possible by voluntary donations of time and money from the American people. You can help the victims of thousands of disasters across the country each year by making a financial gift to the Upstate South Carolina Chapter of the American Red Cross. The funds enable us to provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to those in need.  

Some American Red Cross programs are supported in part by the United Way. The Public Support Department is responsible for raising funds in addition to United Way support. It does this through special events, direct mail, major gifts, and grants.

Charitable gifts are a vital part of American culture and play an important role in the lives of many.
